Parquet in Museum homes

Museum has a small number of condos on Mount Sophia and around Sophia Road. Mount Sophia condos are mostly newer, with engineered timber in the bedrooms. A recoat every few years protects the thin top layer.

Local tip: Engineered timber can only be lightly sanded once or twice. Send us a photo of an edge and we'll tell you what yours can take.

About Museum

The Museum planning area is named after the National Museum of Singapore, which opened on Stamford Road in 1887.

Fort Canning Hill, once called Bukit Larangan ('Forbidden Hill'), was the seat of 14th-century Malay rulers and later a British fort.

Mount Sophia had schools and old bungalows for most of the 20th century. Today it's home to condos such as Sophia Hills, built partly on the former Methodist Girls' School site.
