Parquet in Bukit Timah homes
Bukit Timah has landed homes and low-rise condos, many from the late 1970s to 1990s, plus newer large condos at Leedon and Farrer. Bukit Timah has some of the best original parquet we work on: herringbone and teak in 1970s and 1980s condos and landed homes. Most of it is thick, solid timber that can take another full sanding.
Local tip: For herringbone floors, ask about a test patch. Sanding across the grain takes more care, and a test shows you the finish first.

About Bukit Timah
Bukit Timah is named after Singapore's highest hill, 163 m. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, set aside in 1883, is one of the oldest forest reserves in the region.
The area along Bukit Timah Road and Dunearn Road grew into one of Singapore's main areas for landed homes and low-rise condos.
Many of its condos date from the late 1970s to the 1990s, such as Sommerville Park, Ridgewood, Spanish Village and Tulip Garden. Newer projects such as D'Leedon and Leedon Green have replaced older estates.
Landmarks
- Bukit Timah Nature Reserve – Primary rainforest around Singapore's highest hill.
- Holland Village – Food and shops off Holland Road.
- Coronation Plaza and Sixth Avenue – Shops and food along Bukit Timah Road.
- Former Bukit Timah Railway Station – Now part of the Rail Corridor.
